MH Guide Online

McGraw-Hill Guide Online

The McGraw-Hill Guide Online is the first web-based, interactive rhetoric course for Freshman composition. Like its print counterpart, it is based on the WPA (Writing Program Administrators) outcomes. One of the key objectives in teaching students how to write today is to ensure that they understand how to adjust their writing style based on three things: audience, purpose and medium. When drafting an essay, an op ed piece, a cover letter or a blog, writers must consider how their audience, purpose for writing and the medium in which they are working will affect their final product. Rather than simply serving up a direct translation of the print text online, The McGraw-Hill Guide Online is fully optimized for an interactive online learning experience; thereby putting into practice what the course emphasizes for today’s students.
